I'm a tech and software creator who likes to work close to the machine's hardware.

Linux and Go pair well for this purpose — both are built for working close to the metal with minimal abstraction. The Linux kernel publishes its state through simple filesystem interfaces, readable as plain text — no API or middleware.

Go compiles to a single statically linked binary with no dependencies, resulting in fast startup, minimal overhead and direct syscalls when needed.

Linux provides the observable metal. Go gives you direct access to it.
